We Provide State-of-the-Art Solutions for Wound Care
At Strategic Wound Care, we promote fast and effective healing by following our patients through every level of their care: hospitals, long-term acute care facilities, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, and home health agencies.
Skin health and skin integrity are absolutely vital to patient health yet often become the lowest priority in the overall treatment plan for a patient. This lack of attention to wound care often means patients are treated with methods that are both out-of-date and ineffective.
Approximately 70% of all amputations in hospitals today are unnecessary.
Our physicians and physician’s assistants have extensive wound care experience and education. They work as a team with the patient and the patient’s doctor to determine the most appropriate advanced treatment options. We also coordinate with facilities and home health agencies when a patient requires a new level of care.
Our highly-skilled nurses receive training in the latest treatment standards and advancements in wound healing. Each patient is assigned a physician’s liaison who meets with them and their family to discuss treatment, provide education, and ensure every voice is heard.
We Treat All Wounds
We specialize in the treatment of these wounds:
1. PRESSURE ULCERS
Patients who are elderly, malnourished, bedridden, or paralyzed are more prone to this type of wound. They are usually caused by unrelieved pressure and found over a bony prominence.
2. LOWER EXTREMITY AND FOOT ULCERS
Patients with circulation problems or poor sensation are prone to ulcers in the legs and feet. These ulcers could be related to diabetes, venous disease, or arterial disease.
3. ATYPICAL WOUNDS
Patients with collagen disorders, autoimmune diseases, cancer, trauma or surgery wounds may be prone to atypical wounds. This also includes any wounds that are not healing as one would expect.
